Privacy Policy

We Move VI is a community app for discovering activities and connecting with people across the U.S. Virgin Islands. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect the information you provide directly:

• Your email address, collected when you sign in through Apple or Google sign-in.
• A display name you choose for your profile.
• Optionally: a profile photo, your home island, and a short bio — none of these are required.

We also store content you create while using the app: groups, events, RSVPs, activity suggestions, and any website, Instagram, or map links you add to your profile or listings.

If you create a group or event, you also provide a first name, last name, and phone number as the organizer. Your first name and last initial are shown publicly on that group or event so members can see who is organizing it. Your full name and phone number are visible only to We Move VI administrators — never to other users — and are used to reach you and to support community safety and accountability.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your precise location or GPS coordinates. Your island (St. Thomas, St. Croix, or St. John) is something you select yourself — we never request location access from your device. Any map links associated with an activity are ones you paste in yourself.

We do not use advertising networks or third-party tracking technologies.

How we use your information

We use your information solely to operate the app: to display activities near your island, to connect you with organizers, to authenticate your account securely, and to keep the community safe and accountable.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us run the app:

• Supabase — our backend provider, which handles database storage, hosting, and authentication infrastructure.
• Apple and Google — only when you choose to sign in with your Apple ID or Google account. In that case, those providers authenticate you and share your email address with us as part of the sign-in flow.

Your choices

You can edit your profile at any time from within the app. If you want to delete your account, you can do so directly in the app — this removes your account and your personal information. You can also reach out to us at the contact address below with any requests.

Age requirement

We Move VI is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service, and it is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Security and changes to this policy

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we are committed to handling your data responsibly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
